Early to Rise (by Rhodry)

February 21, 2006

Today I got up very early. I am not a morning puppy! I did not want to get up. Susanna said, "OK, you can sleep in, I'll be back soon." I did not like that! I got up. Then I had to jump in the truck. It is hard to jump when you are not awake!

We are taking care of two horses and one puppy horse and one cat. The cat is very big. His name is Theo. He does not like me. When I sniff his food, he swats me in the nose. Bad kitty! My kitty does not do that.

I was taking a nap in a stall then I woke up -- the puppy horse was looking at me! I sat up very fast. "Woo-woo-WOOO," I said. The puppy horse did not come in. Susanna looked over the wall and laughed. The puppy horse likes to chase me but she cannot chase me if I do not run. I did not run! She was confused!

Susanna let me lick the feed buckets. Woo-woo!

I was lonely so I went into the woods to look for another puppy. I met that puppy before. Susanna called "Rhodry! Rhodry, come here. Rhodry, COME HERE!" I was not lost so I did not come. I knew where I was! Then I heard the truck door open. She forgot me! I ran very fast. Susanna said, "There you are!" Then I had to be a tied-up puppy.

Finally Susanna said "Let's go, Rhodry!" I was not tied up anymore. It was time to take the other puppies for a walk! But Susanna said "No, Sydney and Maizie are not here -- they went on vacation." That is too bad. I am teaching Sydney and Maizie how to go for a walk. Do not bite the leash, Sydney! But they are not at home now.

Maybe I can teach the puppy horse how to go for a walk? Do not chase Rhodry, puppy horse!

I have to get up early tomorrow so now I will go to sleep.

Your friend,

Rhodry
