May License Plate ReportMay 31, 2006 South Dakota, Arizona, Delaware, for a total of 40 (counting D.C.) South Dakota's mother lives in my neighborhood. Arizona was a U-Haul offloading up the road. Delaware was on the ferry. This afternoon, on the Edgartown Road waiting to hang a left into State Road, I thought I spotted Nevada. Decided against counting, because I wasn't 100% sure and the plate read "CHAPPY" (as in Chappaquiddick). Couldn't quite believe that anyone from Nevada would put CHAPPY on his/her license plate. If I see it again, maybe I'll tally it under May. In the parking garage of the Madison Concourse I spotted a Minnesota plate that read "YMMV." Perfect. If I have to move out of state and give up my four-digit plate, I'll have to come up with something that apropos.
