February License Plate ReportFebruary 29, 2008 February's extra day didn't affect the month's tally: didn't see anything new on the roads today. February is usually a slow month, and this year's haul was actually pretty good: Wisconsin, Idaho, Iowa, and Oregon. My map shows an unusual pattern. Most years the east coast fills in (minus Delaware, which tends to show up late), and the west coast too, but the country's midsection stays mostly blank till summer or early fall. This year I've got an almost uninterrupted blue band from west coast to east. All I need is Illinois plus either Michigan or Indiana to complete it. The YTD total is 25.
