Late Lunch (by Rhodry)

January 27, 2006

I did not get my lunch till late! I was a very hungry puppy. We had to give all the horses lunch, first Osage, Howie, Janka, Manoog, Caroline, and Rieke (I helped, and Tillo helped too). We have been taking care of the horses there for almost a week. Then we went to our barn and gave Allie and Dolci their lunch. Tillo stayed at her house, so she did not help, but I did. I kept Wonder and Opus from running over Susanna. I am a brave puppy even when I am hungry! Allie and Dolci don't try to run over people or puppies, so I rolled on the grass and scratched my back. That made my back feel good but my tummy was still empty.

Sometimes I eat at the barn, but Susanna said, "No food here, Rhodry. All your food is at our house!" But we did not go to our house yet, we went to the grocery store. Susanna bought a box of my favorite cookies but she did not give me one. "It will spoil your appetite," she said. I don't know what that means.

Finally we got to our house and Susanna went inside. She came out with my lunch! Lunchtime for the puppy! Smile smile wag wag! "Are you mad at me, Rhodry?" she asked. I was not mad, I was hungry!

I ate all my food and now I am not hungry anymore. Maybe I will have a cookie when we go back to the barn.

Your Friend,

Rhodry
