I Waited a Long Time! (by Rhodry)June 28, 2007 It is very hot! I like to go for rides even when it is hot but I do not like to go too far. Susanna was brushing Allie. I ran back and forth. I said, "RRR-rr-RR-rrrrr-RRRR!" Sometimes I barked. Susanna said, "Rhodry, you are a loudmouth puppy! Why do you bark so much? I think you are deaf!" I do not know what that means! I said, "When I am an old puppy, I will bark loudly!" Susanna made a face. She looked like Black Kitty when Black Kitty bites his pill! "Where did you learn that? Have you been reading my books?" I cannot read books. I made it up! I like to bark! We went for a ride. Allie stopped to pee. Susanna gave me a cookie. Then Susanna and Allie went into the woods. I lay down in the road. They did not come back. I waited and waited. I went to sleep and waited some more. Then Susanna said, "There's my puppy!" They came back! I trotted to meet them. Susanna said, "Trotting puppy!" She threw me a cookie. I caught it! I helped Susanna give the horses their supper. Then we came home and I had my supper too. Your friend,
