Egoboo TooMay 21, 2007 By this late date I really do realize I'm a real writer without any outside confirmation -- most of the time anyway -- but it's still a kick to see my bio and the first few paragraphs from "Showing at Makonikey" (an excerpt from The Mud of the Place) up on the Boston Fiction Festival website. Check out the festival's newly posted 2007 authors' page. What's cool about this is that the other authors and stories, both for this year and for last, are seriously impressive, and that the festival people picked my story out of the slush pile with no prior knowledge of me whatsoever. In a racket where so much depends on connections, this could keep me going for months. Rhodry and I are packing up for a three-day horse-sit. Back soon!
